This French country farmhouse in Vendee, is still referred to as "the Chateaux" by some locals although it is by no means an elegant property but perhaps more because it is one the largest houses in the small village of St Maurice de Noues where it is located. The property stands in a lovely garden with a variety of trees and a small orchard area. There are also many roses in the garden. A large 6 x 12m swimming pool in its own enclosure is close to the house. The land is just under 2 hectares (5 acres) overall and this includes a 1.2 hectare meadow. The location of the house is near the beautiful towns of Mervent and Fontenay le Comte with Châtaigneraie a more modern town also very near. |

There are a large number of barns and outbuildings currently used for everything from garaging to wood and tool storage. These builidings are old and would need a lot of work but could potentially be developed (subject to required permissions) as gîtes.

A large side building, attached to the house. This is in very good condition and houses the pool gear, the central heating boiler, the oil storage. It also contains a very large wine press and can be accessed from an internal door to the house and an external door to the front of the house. |
